Data Analyst

About the role

The Data Analyst will act as the engine room of the data team, ensuring client and counterparty data is accurate, complete, consistent and fit for purpose across regulatory, risk and business use cases. You will work across multiple source systems and large, multi‑source datasets, investigating data issues, supporting onboarding and migration initiatives and contributing to data quality frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data profiling, exploratory analysis and validation to assess completeness, accuracy and consistency of large, multi‑source datasets.
• Execute end‑to‑end analytical work for data onboarding, migration, reconciliation and quality remediation initiatives.
• Investigate data anomalies, trace issues across source systems, transformation logic and target platforms, and document findings.
• Run data quality checks against defined rules, perform root‑cause analysis and recommend structural remediation actions.
• Conduct reconciliations between source and target systems, validate data transformations and ensure results are reproducible and well documented.
• Support documentation and validation of data mapping, transformation logic and data lineage to maintain traceability and auditability.
• Maintain clear analysis logs, data dictionaries, mapping specifications and contribute to team standards for documentation and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Analytically rigorous and detail‑oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Comfortable navigating messy, multi‑source data environments and taking ownership of workstreams.
• Ability to deliver well‑documented analysis with minimal oversight.
• Strong investigative mindset to trace data issues across systems and processes.
