Customer Support Representative, Advisory Services

About the role

The Ontario Medical Association is seeking a Customer Support Representative to be the first point of contact for members who have questions about OMA Insurance products and services. You will work closely with internal advisory teams and external insurance partners to ensure timely, accurate assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to daily member inquiries regarding insurance coverage, claims, and online portals.
• Investigate and resolve escalations by coordinating with insurance partners and internal teams.
• Educate members on the value of their coverage and assist with retention efforts.
• Support OMA Insurance Advisors with outreach activities and service‑related requests.
• Document all interactions, complaints, and resolutions in Salesforce while adhering to service level agreements.
• Act as an ambassador for OMA Insurance, maintaining professionalism and accuracy in all communications.

Required profile

• Community College Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 4‑5 years of customer service experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Experience supporting clients, advisors, or sales teams in a service‑oriented environment.
• Strong knowledge of life, disability, group benefits, individual insurance, and retirement products.
