Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Service Representative supports Motion Industries by accurately fulfilling customer orders and handling inbound inquiries. Working under close supervision, you will ensure smooth order processing and contribute to customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries, provide quotes, and enter orders via phone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk‑in.
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices within defined parameters and adjust non‑contract pricing to stay competitive while protecting gross profit.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to encourage repeat business and identify process improvements.
• Source products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventory and determine the most cost‑effective shipping method.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction, expedite backorders, pull inventory, prepare shipments, and handle returns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 0–3 years of related experience.
• Reliability, strong organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Moderate computer proficiency, including email and business systems.
• Product knowledge is a plus.
