Custodian (Term) – Minntonka School

About the role

The Louis Riel School Division is seeking a term Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary environment at Minntonka School. This fixed‑term position runs from September 3, 2026 to October 31, 2026 (or until the incumbent returns).

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, washrooms, ancillary spaces and school grounds.
• Assist the Head Custodian with special cleaning projects during school breaks.
• Support staff training and promote safe work practices.

Required profile

• Completion of Grade 10 (Grade 12 preferred).
• Respect In School training completed.
• At least one year of cleaning or maintenance experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently and coach new employees.
• Strong interpersonal skills and reliable attendance.

Required skills

• Power Engineer 5th Class License (preferred).
• Knowledge of WHMIS, Workplace Safety and Health, and building systems (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to operate power and manual cleaning equipment.
