About the role

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer for the graduate‑level course EDPS 620‑002: Professional Seminar 2. The course runs in Fall 2026, meets on Mondays from 5:35 pm to 8:25 pm in the Education Building (EDUC 431), and focuses on professional and ethical practices for novice teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lecture and case‑study sessions on identity, contributions to education, competencies, professional organizations, and development.
• Provide ongoing support and debrief for students’ concurrent internships.
• Guide students in completing e‑portfolios for future professional growth.
• Participate in course and program coordination meetings prior to the start of the term.

Required profile

• PhD in Education (or exceptional candidates with a MA and extensive relevant experience).
• Teaching degree or certification, or equivalent qualification.
• Secondary‑school teaching experience in Quebec, with expert knowledge of course content.
• Familiarity with the Québec Education Program (QEP) and teacher‑education competency frameworks.
• Commitment to collaborative planning across sections and programs.
• Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion in pedagogical approaches.
