About the role

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach EDPS 620-001 Professional Seminar 2 in the Fall 2026 term. The course focuses on professional and ethical practices for novice teachers using a case‑study approach, supporting students’ concurrent internships and preparing e‑portfolios for future development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures and facilitate discussions on identity, contributions to education, and professional competencies.
• Provide ongoing support and debriefing for students during their concurrent internships.
• Develop and assess e‑portfolios aligned with professional development goals.
• Participate in course and program coordination meetings prior to the start of the term.
• Collaborate with other instructors and program staff to ensure cohesive delivery across sections.

Required profile

• Education: PhD (or PhD candidate/master teacher with MA and extensive relevant experience); teaching degree or certification.
• Experience: Secondary school teaching experience in Quebec, expert knowledge of course content, familiarity with the Québec Education Program (QEP) and teacher competency frameworks.
• Prior graduate‑level teaching experience is an asset.
• Commitment to collaborative planning, equity, diversity, and inclusion in pedagogy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with myCourses and Zoom (or similar online platforms).
• Experience delivering blended or hybrid classes.
• Ability to integrate a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
