Course Lecturer – Energy, Environment & Buildings 2 (ARCH 447)

About the role

McGill University’s Peter Guo‑hua Fu School of Architecture is seeking a Course Lecturer for the Fall 2026 term to teach ARCH 447 – Energy, Environment & Buildings 2. The appointment runs from August 31 to December 31 2026, covering three credits and a weekly Monday class from 10:05 am to 12:55 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars and workshops for ARCH 447, covering energy, environmental performance and building systems.
• Prepare course materials, assignments and assessments in line with the curriculum.
• Provide timely feedback and support to undergraduate students.
• Maintain office hours and be available for student consultations.

Required profile

• Master of Architecture (M.Arch) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Active professional practice in architecture or recent experience teaching architecture at the post‑secondary level.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical, digital or theoretical aspects of energy and environmental design.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to work on the McGill campus in Quebec.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
