About the role
Join Sushi Village in Victoria, BC as a Cook responsible for preparing sushi and other Japanese dishes in a fast‑paced restaurant environment. You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver high‑quality meals while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and associated food costs.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and sushi specialties.
- Inspect kitchen and food‑service areas for cleanliness and compliance.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory records for food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen work areas and manage overall kitchen operations.
Required profile
- Strong client focus and dependability.
- Excellent oral communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
