About the role
We are seeking a Cook specialized in South Indian cuisine to join our team at Hyderabad House Canada in Calgary. The role involves preparing meals, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety.
Key responsibilities
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and safety.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen operations during morning, night, and weekend shifts.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to 2 years of cooking experience, preferably in South Indian cuisine.
- Flexibility and reliability to work varied shifts including mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
- Clean criminal record check.
- Willingness to relocate if necessary.
