About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Kelly O'Bryan's Neighbourhood Restaurant in Chilliwack. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of Canadian and European dishes in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas, maintain cleanliness, and organize buffets and banquets.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling practices.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Manage overall kitchen operations.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
- Ability to work full‑time on‑site in a team‑oriented environment.
- Willingness to support youth through on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and a welcoming workplace.
- No formal education required.
- Experience with inventory management.
