About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at WOWO Asian Homestyle Cooking in Corner Brook. The role involves preparing and cooking meals, supervising kitchen staff, and managing kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and safety.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
- Order supplies and equipment and maintain inventory records.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Clean kitchen and work areas regularly.
- Manage overall kitchen operations and maintain quality standards.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to 5 years of cooking experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Criminal record check required.
- Strong client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
