About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our restaurant team, preparing a variety of East Indian, West Indian, vegetarian, and halal dishes. The role involves delivering high‑quality meals while maintaining strict food‑allergy standards in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies and maintain inventory records.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and specialty items for customers with dietary restrictions.
- Inspect kitchen and food‑service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Train staff on proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and handling procedures.
- Organise buffets and banquets, and manage overall kitchen operations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- 2‑3 years of cooking experience in a restaurant setting.
- Ability to work under pressure, stand for extended periods, and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Client‑focused, dependable, flexible, organized, reliable, and a strong team player.
