About the role
We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team at Fong Sing Restaurant in Halifax. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of Cantonese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes for a busy restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes and foods, including special meals for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas, maintain inventory, order supplies and equipment.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques and safe handling.
- Clean kitchen and work areas and manage overall kitchen operations.
