Controller – Strategic Finance Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join a fast‑growing company operating in forestry, manufacturing, sawmill, logistics and industrial sectors. This senior finance leader will partner directly with ownership and senior leadership to shape strategy, drive performance and build robust financial infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting and forecasting functions.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Lead process improvements, system enhancements and implementation of best‑practice financial controls.
• Manage cash flow, cash management and treasury activities across multiple business units.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• CPA designation preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
• Background in asset‑intensive industries such as manufacturing, forestry, logistics or transportation.
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on.
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship‑building skills.
