Controller – Strategic Finance Leader (Burnaby, BC)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic finance leader to partner with ownership, influence key business decisions, and build robust financial infrastructure for a growing organization operating in forestry, manufacturing, sawmill, logistics, and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial functions, including finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Provide insights, planning, and guidance to support continued expansion.
• Drive process improvements, systems enhancements, and financial best practices across multiple business operations.
• Partner with senior leadership to influence strategic and operational decision‑making.

Required profile

• CPA designation preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
• Experience in asset‑intensive industries such as manufacturing, forestry, logistics, transportation, or industrial operations.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow management, treasury, and internal controls.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach with ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
