Controller

About the role

The Link is seeking a Controller to lead day‑to‑day accounting and financial reporting for its non‑profit operations. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will ensure accurate financial statements, budget management, and compliance with funding agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a finance team of five professionals.
• Review and approve monthly financial transactions, including revenue allocations, asset amortization, and period‑end journal entries.
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Develop and update annual operating and capital budgets.
• Oversee tracking of funding agreements and purchasing contracts.
• Produce periodic financial accountability reports for funders.
• Manage cash flow projections, deposits and payments.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably as a Senior Accountant, Supervisor or Finance Manager.
• Experience in the not‑for‑profit sector is an asset.
• Strong planning, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
