Controller, Health Finance Systems

About the role

Join TELUS Health’s Global Finance Systems team as a Controller responsible for health finance systems. You will bridge finance and technology, ensuring accurate data flow, reporting, and efficient operations across multiple platforms and regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance systems team, managing vendor relationships and external consultants.
• Administer Workday ERP and SAP systems, including tax codes, GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and WBS codes.
• Oversee Adaptive Planning and NEXUS, maintaining technical integrity of the EPM environment and managing budget uploads.
• Guide the transition of Workday master data and reporting functions to partner teams, ensuring smooth hand‑offs.
• Champion monthly sign‑offs on hierarchy changes and execute automated reconciliations for month‑end close.
• Partner with automation teams to reduce manual cycle times and embed processes into standard BAU execution.
• Support system integrations for acquired entities and global operations across assigned regions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field.
• 7‑10 years of progressive experience managing finance systems and related processes.
• 3‑5 years of management experience with proven ability to influence across teams.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and ETL processes.
• Excellent English communication skills, able to translate technical decisions into financial impact.
• Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
