Controller – Finance Leader for High‑Growth Company

About the role

Our rapidly growing client is seeking a polished and highly accountable finance professional to lead accounting operations in a dynamic, high‑growth environment. Based on‑site in Oakville, Ontario, the Controller will partner with leadership to scale finance processes and provide strategic financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including accounts payable, expense reporting, and general ledger maintenance.
• Manage monthly close, reconciliations, budgeting, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial performance updates to senior leadership and investors.
• Coordinate annual audit, tax filings, and other compliance activities.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, and operations teams to strengthen and scale financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6–12 years of progressive accounting or finance experience; CPA or CFA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical accounting practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to leadership.
• Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and sound judgment handling confidential information.
