About the role

The Contract Professional (Level 2) will manage high‑complexity contracts for transmission line programs within a utility environment. The role covers both pre‑award and post‑award activities, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, on time and within budget while collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers and project teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage high‑complexity contracts across operational and capital programs.
  • Support pre‑award and post‑award contract management activities, including sourcing strategies, contract planning and procurement documentation.
  • Monitor contract performance, identify risks and take proactive actions to resolve issues.
  • Lead contract execution activities such as progress meetings, schedule monitoring, scope and change management.
  • Handle contract changes, claims, disputes and close‑out processes.
  • Track and validate payment requests, accruals and financial reporting.
  • Provide contract interpretation and guidance to internal stakeholders and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and present recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 9 + years of contract management experience.
  • Certificate in Supply Chain Management or Contract Management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management practices, procurement processes and supplier performance management.
  • Experience managing contracts in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Preference for candidates based in British Columbia; occasional travel may be required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
