About the role
The Canadian Armed Forces are seeking Construction Technicians to provide structural engineering support for operational units at home and abroad. You will work on building construction, maintenance, and field‑defence projects while gaining experience in a variety of environments.
Key responsibilities
- Construct, repair and maintain buildings to protect personnel and equipment.
- Produce structural designs, specifications and related drawings.
- Construct field defences and harden field structures.
- Erect prefabricated structures.
Required profile
- Minimum education: Grade 10 (or Secondary 4 in Quebec) with applied mathematics.
- No prior work experience required.
- Willingness to work in diverse environments, including humanitarian and UN missions.
- Ability to relocate for Regular Force postings or serve part‑time with a Reserve unit.
- Commitment to complete basic military training and specialty education.
