Construction Supervisor

About the role

Adecco is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead large‑scale heavy industrial projects in Kitimat, British Columbia. This full‑time temporary position offers the chance to oversee complex construction initiatives from start to finish while ensuring safety, quality, and alignment with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee planning and delivery of construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure projects adhere to approved scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage contracts, resources, changes, risks, and overall delivery performance.
• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to align with business requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to define, estimate, and deliver project requirements.
• Resolve delivery issues and risks promptly.
• Support vendor and consultant sourcing as needed.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to project delivery methods.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
• Minimum 10+ years of construction supervision experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Proven track record as a Construction Supervisor on large‑scale industrial projects.
• Trade certification or post‑secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines is an asset.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience with MS Project for scheduling and performance tracking.
