Construction Planning & Quality Advisor

About the role

The Construction Planning & Quality Advisor provides field‑based quality and planning support for multiple civil infrastructure projects on Vancouver Island. You will help site teams apply Hall’s Quality Management System and internal planning procedures consistently.

Key responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and monitoring of project‑specific quality and planning documents such as Execution Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Checklists (QCCLs), and Quality Management Plans (QMPs).
• Participate in quality management and construction planning meetings to identify risks, conduct field‑readiness reviews, and align activities with contractual requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, testing agencies, and inspectors to coordinate inspections and resolve quality issues.
• Conduct targeted field inspections, verify work against drawings and specifications, and document findings using SiteDocs or equivalent systems.
• Review daily field documentation—including toolbox talks, permits, and Job Hazard Analyses—to ensure alignment with planned work.
• Provide training and on‑the‑job support to coordinators, foremen, and supervisors on standardized planning and quality documentation.
• Act as the designated Site Quality representative on selected projects, coordinating inspections and monitoring compliance.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary credential in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in construction planning, quality inspection, or related roles.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
