Steel Stud Framer – Carpentry

About the role

We are seeking a Steel Stud Framer to join our carpentry team at Riveting Renovations Ltd. The role involves constructing walls, floors and roof systems using steel studs and other materials on commercial and residential sites in Langford, BC.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of framing experience.
• Ability to work in dusty construction settings and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
• Client‑focused and team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with measuring tools.
• Ability to cut and shape wood, steel and lightweight materials.
• Experience installing windows, doors, stairs and related hardware.
