Construction Manager – Water & Wastewater Projects

About the role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to lead technical teams delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Canada. You will provide strategic leadership, drive business development, and ensure projects are executed on time, on budget, and to the highest engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team on water and wastewater projects.
• Oversee project financial controls, scheduling, and client relationship management.
• Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, and deliverables.
• Participate in studies, modeling, preliminary and detailed design, specifications, tendering, and contract administration.
• Review and authenticate engineering documents, drawings, and reports.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, utilities, and contractors.
• Identify innovative design concepts and recommend major design changes.
• Support senior project managers on large, complex programs.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering; a Master’s in water or wastewater treatment is an asset.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in British Columbia is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in consulting or construction environments focused on water and wastewater projects.
• Proven supervisory experience, including training, performance appraisals, and mentorship.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship building.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
