Construction Manager – Residential Renovations

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager to lead multi‑residential renovation and capital improvement projects across our growing real‑estate portfolio in Ottawa and Quebec. You will manage projects from acquisition and planning through construction and final close‑out, collaborating closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and municipal authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and budget multiple renovation and improvement projects.
• Develop scopes, execution plans, and coordinate architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Monitor progress to ensure compliance with budget, timeline, quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct site visits, resolve technical and construction issues, and verify work quality.
• Lead tender processes, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and manage contractor performance.
• Maintain project financials, forecasts, invoices, and provide regular updates to leadership.
• Support permitting and approvals with local municipalities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing apartment renovations, retrofits, and capital improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction practices, and project delivery.
