Construction Inspector – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Binnie is seeking a Construction Inspector to support municipal infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland. The position blends field inspections with office‑based design support, ensuring civil works are built correctly the first time.

Key responsibilities

• Complete and report on‑site inspections of civil works on multiple projects.
• Prepare and update as‑constructed field record drawings.
• Notify the Project Manager or Contract Administrator of potential issues and liaise with municipal inspectors and external agencies.
• Coordinate with contractors and assist with construction administration.
• Maintain accurate construction records, track schedule variances, and prepare progress payment certificates.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of inspection experience in a civil engineering environment.
• Degree or Diploma in Construction Inspection, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for travel to job sites.
• Familiarity with the tendering process and construction contracts.
• Strong organization, time‑management, and multi‑project handling abilities.

Required skills

• MMCD (construction documentation software).
