About the role

The Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM) at McGill University is seeking a Communications Assistant to support the Senior Marketing Officer in content creation, digital communication, and marketing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing marketing initiatives across BSRM’s digital platforms.
• Create clear and engaging content for social media, websites, and other communication channels.
• Manage and monitor social media accounts, using management tools and analytics to track performance.
• Generate creative campaign ideas to reach target audiences.
• Support basic graphic design, photo and video editing tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Current MMR, MBA or U2/U3 BCom student with a concentration in retail or marketing.
• Proven experience managing social media platforms for a brand, with a portfolio of content.
• Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Excellent written communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $19.00 (CAD) for a part‑time schedule (≈20 hours/week).
• Fixed‑term contract from August 19 2026 to November 3 2026.
• Coverage under the AMUSE collective agreement.
