Communications and Education Coordinator

About the role

Luke’s Place is seeking a full‑time Communications and Education Coordinator to join its Knowledge Mobilization team. This hybrid position (minimum two on‑site days per week in Oshawa) requires 1‑3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or education coordination. The role focuses on creating compelling content, managing digital channels, and supporting education projects that advance the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce a variety of communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, website copy, blog posts, social media updates, reports, and graphics.
• Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence with timely, engaging posts.
• Create and edit video content for short‑form social media clips and recorded webinars, ensuring accessibility through formatting and closed captioning.
• Generate audience‑focused, trauma‑informed content that adheres to branding and accessibility standards.
• Coordinate logistics for education projects, ensuring materials are high‑quality and delivered on schedule.

• Excellent communicator with strong writing and storytelling abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and able to produce polished, brand‑consistent materials.
• Self‑motivated, independent, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
