Commercial Cleaner (Day Porter)

About the role

The Madison Group is seeking a reliable Commercial Cleaner (Day Porter) to maintain the cleanliness and safety of its commercial properties. Working four days a week plus occasional weekend hours, you will ensure that office spaces, common areas, and exterior zones are spotless and fully operational.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and office corridors.
• Collect and dispose of garbage, restock supplies, and monitor waste removal for tenants.
• Conduct routine inspections of roofs, storage rooms, and electrical rooms for debris and security.
• Record meter readings each week and report any maintenance issues.
• Carry out basic handyman tasks such as repairing ceilings, tiles, doors, and minor plumbing or electrical problems.
• Participate in security patrols and ensure fire routes and driveways remain clear.
• Create, update, and close work orders in the MRI Angus system.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and follow a set schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication with tenants and supervisors.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning and light maintenance tasks.

Required skills

• Handyman experience covering basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
