Clinical Research Coordinator

About the role

The Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program (MC3RP) at the University of British Columbia is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support a portfolio of approximately 100 active clinical studies involving children with cancer and blood disorders. This full‑time position works within the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC and the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of multiple clinical research protocols, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate study documentation, data entry, and source records in accordance with Good Clinical Practice.
• Facilitate communication between principal investigators, study participants, and external partners such as industry sponsors and research networks.
• Monitor participant recruitment, consent processes, and follow‑up schedules.
• Prepare and submit study reports, adverse event notifications, and regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in health sciences, nursing, or a related field.
• Experience in clinical research coordination, preferably in oncology or hematology.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality, data integrity, and ethical conduct in research.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Proficiency in clinical trial management systems and electronic data capture tools.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
