Clinical Research Coordinator – ALSRD Clinic

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator will support the UBC Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis & Related Disorders (ALSRD) Clinic by managing day‑to‑day research operations. This position is based in the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health on the UBC Vancouver campus and works closely with the Clinical Research Manager and Principal Investigator.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate protocol‑related activities for single‑ and multi‑site observational studies and interventional trials focused on neurodegenerative disorders.
• Oversee the full participant lifecycle, including recruitment, screening, informed consent, enrollment, scheduling, retention, and follow‑up.
• Conduct study‑specific procedures, assessments, clinical interviews, and physiological measurements according to protocol requirements.
• Manage study visits and ensure compliance with protocol manuals, ethical standards, and institutional policies.
• Serve as a resource for participants and research staff, addressing study‑related questions and supporting engagement strategies.
• Attend study progress meetings, research seminars, and professional development training as required.

Required profile

• Experience in clinical research coordination, preferably within neurodegenerative disease studies.
• Strong knowledge of participant management processes and protocol compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with investigators, study sponsors, and institutional staff.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
