Clinical Nurse – Nunavik (Infirmier/Infirmière Clinicienne)

About the role

We are seeking qualified registered nurses or clinical nurses to join our multi‑site health centre in Nunavik, serving the seven coastal communities of Ungava Bay, including Kuujjuaq. The position can be a permanent full‑time role or a fixed‑term assignment of six months or longer, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and identify health needs of individuals and communities across the seven CLSC sites.
• Contribute to diagnostic processes and develop care plans in line with health promotion, disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation guidelines.
• Provide and supervise nursing care in various settings such as home care, public health, long‑term care, day‑medicine, and emergency clinics.
• Travel regularly between the remote villages, including Kuujjuaq, to deliver services and ensure continuity of care.
• Follow the collective prescription guide of the CSTU and document care according to regional standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Clinical Nurse qualification.
• Willingness to work in a sub‑arctic environment and adapt to remote community life.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to handle rotating schedules and occasional extended stays in different villages.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and nursing care planning.
• Knowledge of public health and community nursing practices.
• Familiarity with Quebec health regulations and CSTU collective prescription guidelines.
