Civil Superintendent – Spencerville

About the role

The Civil Superintendent will lead civil construction activities on a new project in Spencerville, Ontario. This position ensures safe, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams from pre‑construction through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise civil construction execution, aligning with safety, quality, schedule, contractual and financial targets.
• Develop and manage Installation Work Packages and Inspection Test Plans.
• Coordinate civil subcontractor scope, sequencing, logistics, and performance monitoring.
• Participate in pre‑construction planning, constructability reviews, budgeting and scheduling.
• Maintain daily reporting, schedule updates, and resolve on‑site technical issues.
• Lead daily Plan‑of‑Day discussions and site coordination meetings.
• Work with utilities, authorities having jurisdiction, and permitting bodies to secure permits and inspections.
• Support project closeout, including punch‑list completion and turnover documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of civil construction experience.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Experience in energy, renewables, industrial or utility electrical construction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews and subcontractors safely.
• Willingness to work on remote sites for the project duration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using digital field tools for construction management.
