Civil Project Superintendent – Fraser Valley

About the role

Emil Anderson Construction is seeking a motivated Civil Project Superintendent to lead on‑site civil construction projects in the Fraser Valley. The role involves overseeing crews, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary on‑site representative, managing client, public, labour, and subcontractor interactions.
• Lead day‑to‑day construction activities, aligning work with project plans and specifications.
• Implement site safety, quality, environmental, and traffic‑management plans.
• Coordinate scheduling, resource allocation, and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and communicate changes to the Project Manager.
• Optimize site operations to improve safety, quality, and profitability.
• Collaborate on labour and equipment needs and coordinate with mechanical operations for servicing.
• Maintain compliance with collective agreements and union communications.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in the construction industry.
• 5+ years in a supervisory position.
• Experience with difficult access grading and rock work.
• Experience in a unionized environment (asset).
• Multi‑discipline bridge experience (asset).
• Gold Seal Certification (asset).
• Valid Canadian driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
