Civil Grademan – Construction Site Leveling Specialist

About the role

Hall Constructors is seeking a dedicated Civil Grademan to join its excavation and civil infrastructure teams in Langley. You will plan, coordinate, and execute grading activities on large‑scale construction sites while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read drawings and cut sheets to determine grading requirements.
• Set up and operate a builder’s level, perform peg tests, and document as‑built conditions.
• Calculate HI, read shot rods, and monitor encroachment distances near utilities.
• Perform differential leveling (level loops) and calculate grades and slopes.
• Set up and use theodolite, rotating laser, GPS, and Base Rover equipment.
• Import and export survey files, document utilities, and confirm control points.
• Identify potential conflicts, communicate with the site supervisor, and complete site layout, topography, and volume calculations.
• Provide assistance to ground crews and maintain site housekeeping.
