Chef – Care Homes & Nursing Homes – Edmonton – £16/hr

About the role

We are seeking experienced and passionate chefs to prepare meals for residents in care homes and nursing homes located in Edmonton. The role offers a competitive rate of £16 per hour and flexible working options, including full‑time, part‑time and shift work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high‑quality meals for residents.
• Cater for special dietary requirements and allergens.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Manage food stock, minimise waste and ensure efficient ordering.
• Comply with food safety regulations and internal policies.
• Work collaboratively within a busy kitchen team.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK.
• Previous chef experience, preferably in care homes, nursing homes, healthcare or catering environments.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above preferred).
• Knowledge of dietary needs for elderly residents.
• Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
