Cashier – Retail Store

About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store and be the friendly face that welcomes customers while delivering health, beauty and convenience services. As a Cashier you will keep the checkout area organized, ensure accurate transactions, and support loss‑prevention standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet every shopper with a warm demeanor.
• Accurately scan items, process coupons, lottery tickets and PC Optimum rewards.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout area and ensure proper documentation for receipts and returns.
• Merchandise designated store sections, including facing, signing and labeling.
• Follow loss‑prevention procedures and control cash, lottery and stamp inventory.
• Adhere to uniform, dress code, health‑safety regulations and store policies.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
• Well‑organized, able to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Good judgment and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment.
