Cashier – Retail Customer Service

About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store and be the friendly face that helps customers complete their purchases while maintaining a clean, organized checkout area. This position is essential for delivering excellent service and supporting store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, courteous service.
• Accurately scan items, process payments, and handle cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum loyalty cards.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout space and ensure proper merchandising of front‑end displays.
• Follow loss‑prevention standards and control cash, lottery, and stamp inventory.
• Comply with health, safety, uniform, and store policies, and perform additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of accurate record‑keeping.
• Effective communication and a customer‑focused attitude.
