Cashier – Currency Exchange

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cashier to join our currency exchange booth in Winnipeg. You will handle daily monetary transactions, provide accurate foreign‑currency conversions, and ensure smooth operations in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments using an Interac machine.
• Calculate and reconcile daily/shift totals with overall sales figures.
• Perform foreign‑currency exchange calculations for customers.
• Maintain computerized inventory records and manage re‑ordering of currency stock.
• Utilize MS Excel and MS Word for reporting and documentation.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP certificate/diploma (3 months to less than 1 year).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a retail or financial setting.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and flexible shift schedules.
• Criminal record check required.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork orientation.

Required skills
