Carpentry Instructor – Full‑time (Terrace Campus)

About the role

Coast Mountain College is seeking a full‑time term Carpentry Instructor for its Terrace campus. The instructor will deliver carpentry courses, support student achievement, and uphold a safe learning environment throughout the 2026‑2027 academic term.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver instruction for multiple levels of the Carpentry program.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and encouragement to learners of all ages.
• Maintain shop safety standards and oversee equipment use.
• Complete administrative duties, record‑keeping, and monitoring of student progress.
• Collaborate with faculty and contribute to curriculum development as needed.

Required profile

• Interprovincial Red Seal endorsement and at least Grade 12 (or equivalent).
• Minimum five years of diverse field experience as a Journeyperson.
• At least five years in a supervisory role.
• Provincial Instructor Diploma or comparable teaching certification preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.

• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and cross‑cultural communication, especially with Indigenous communities.
• Strong organizational, communication and facilitation abilities.
• Intermediate computer proficiency (word processing, Excel, email).
