Carpenter – Full-time Permanent Position

About the role

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team in Beaumont, AB on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves constructing, installing, and maintaining wood and related structures across residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials using appropriate tools.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub-flooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, and perform maintenance, repair and renovation tasks.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) or equivalent.
• 1 to less than 2 years of hands-on carpentry experience.
• Ability to work day shifts on-site and follow safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and drawing interpretation.
• Accurate measuring and layout preparation.
• Cutting, shaping and assembling of various building materials.
• Installation of windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
