Carpenter – Construction Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our construction team in East Gwillimbury. The position involves preparing layouts in line with building codes, measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel on site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layout plans that conform to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials such as wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, instruct apprentices and maintain tools while ensuring safety compliance.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school) certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of carpentry experience in construction.
• Physically demanding workload; ability to work on the road and on‑site.
• Accurate, reliable, team‑player with good judgement.
• Willingness to relocate for project needs.
