Canola Seed Production Summer Associate

About the role

BASF Agricultural Solutions is seeking a motivated Summer Associate to support canola seed production activities in Outlook, Saskatchewan. This 4‑6 month temporary position runs during the summer of 2026 and offers hands‑on experience with field‑scale trials, data collection, and agronomic practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Certified Seed Supply team with plot and field‑scale trials evaluating innovative canola production methods.
• Execute agronomic tasks such as planting, spraying, crop synchronization, mowing, harvesting, and sample processing across multiple sites in Southern Alberta.
• Collect, record, and manage field data to support optimisation of seed quality and yield.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of field activities and accurate data reporting.

Required profile

• Above‑average communication skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel between field sites as needed.
