Business Development Representative – Ontario

About the role

The Ontario Business Development Representative will drive revenue growth by identifying new sales opportunities and building relationships with foodservice establishments, restaurants, hospitality venues, grocery and food production companies. This field‑focused role blends prospecting, outbound outreach and consultative selling to deliver collection, recycling and environmental compliance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across restaurant, hospitality, grocery and food production sectors.
• Generate leads through cold calling, field canvassing, networking and digital outreach.
• Conduct on‑site visits to assess customer needs and present service offerings.
• Prepare and deliver proposals highlighting collection, recycling and compliance services.
• Maintain and nurture a pipeline of prospects using CRM tools.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and satisfaction.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking activities.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of outside sales experience with territory responsibility.
• Experience selling services to restaurants or commercial facilities is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, organized and comfortable working independently.
• Knowledge of used cooking oil, waste management or sustainability industries is helpful but not required.
• No travel restrictions.
