Business Development Manager

About the role

AB Construction Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives and oversee daily operations at its Edmonton office. The role combines strategic planning, project coordination, and client relationship management to drive business expansion in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and coordinate economic policy research projects and other initiatives.
• Direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Plan, control, and monitor budgets and expenditures.
• Establish and implement policies, procedures, and communication strategies.
• Hire, train, motivate, and supervise professional staff, program leaders, instructors, and volunteers.
• Oversee data analysis, report preparation, and contract management.
• Advise senior management and lead committees or working groups on projects and programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines and a large workload.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
