Business Development Manager

About the role

Atheris is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to fuel the top of its sales funnel. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development, you will generate qualified conversations, nurture opportunities, and keep the pipeline moving through disciplined outreach and CRM management.

Key responsibilities

• Run outbound outreach campaigns at scale to create qualified conversations.
• Prospect at industry conferences and convert attendees into pipeline opportunities.
• Support client education webinars and events as cultivation channels.
• Activate personal and firm networks for referrals and warm introductions.
• Assist paid digital campaigns on LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Maintain day‑to‑day CRM updates, data hygiene, and act as the single source of truth for the pipeline.
• Build and manage outreach sequences and cadences.
• Ensure timely follow‑up across all active opportunities.
• Track activity metrics (conversations, new opportunities, pipeline value) and report to senior leadership.
• Refresh credentials, case studies, and pitch collateral.
• Prepare briefing materials for senior team meetings and collaborate with client services, scientific strategy, and marketing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or scientific discipline; MBA or MSc is a plus.
• 1–4 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a scientific/commercial role, preferably in consulting, agency, life sciences, or professional services.
• High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.
