Business Development Manager – Freight & Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join our freight team. You will drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and shaping strategic partnerships across air and ocean transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential clients within the freight sector to generate new leads.
• Conduct market research to spot emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Negotiate and close sales agreements, contracts, and partnerships.
• Stay informed on industry regulations, market trends, and new business opportunities.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to management.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven success in business development or sales within the freight industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of freight transportation modes, logistics operations, and supply‑chain management.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset to assess market trends and develop strategic plans.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to travel as needed.
