Bakery Clerk – In-Store Bakery

About the role

The Bakery Clerk works in an in‑store bakery, delivering high‑quality baked goods while providing friendly, efficient service to customers. You will help maintain a clean, safe environment and support the overall success of the bakery department.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all food safety, health and safety, and corporate policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and process bakery orders.
• Prepare, display and merchandise bakery products.
• Promote bakery items to increase store sales.
• Assist with stock ordering, receiving and inventory control.
• Maintain a clean and presentable work area.
• Participate in training of junior staff and handle department shrink.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong focus on customer service and product quality.
• Willingness to follow procedures and maintain safety standards.
