Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design, build and maintain the core business logic, carrier integrations and API services of our multi‑tenant logistics SaaS platform. You will work in a polyglot micro‑services environment using Go, TypeScript and Rust to deliver rating algorithms, workflow automation and real‑time data processing that handle billions of dollars in freight each year.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve REST and GraphQL APIs with robust error handling and validation.
• Implement event‑driven and asynchronous processing pipelines using AWS Lambda, Step Functions or similar technologies.
• Design, model and optimise data storage in DynamoDB and relational databases.
• Integrate with more than 30 carrier systems (SOAP, REST, XML, EDI) and maintain data transformation logic.
• Write unit tests, adopt test‑driven development practices and ensure high code quality through code reviews.
• Monitor, profile and optimise performance of distributed services.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go (or willingness to learn) with experience in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience building production‑grade APIs and working with event‑driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud services, especially AWS serverless offerings.
