About the role
The University of British Columbia is seeking a part‑time Athletic Therapist to support its varsity athletes. The role blends clinical assessment and treatment with on‑field first‑aid coverage, contributing to the health and performance of UBC athletes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical athletic therapy services, including assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation program development for injured varsity athletes.
- Deliver on‑field first aid and athlete care during training sessions and competitions for sports such as football, rugby, and hockey.
- Collaborate with the integrated support team (strength & conditioning, dietetics, medicine, physiotherapy, psychology) and coaches to inform return‑to‑play decisions.
- Maintain flexible scheduling to align with varsity training, competition calendars, and travel requirements.
Required profile
- Relevant athletic therapy qualification and registration.
- Experience working with high‑performance or varsity athletes.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with teams as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
